About
Pip Cox is a writer and artist based in North Yorkshire. She combines book arts with creative writing to build fully made books from scratch.
Pip trained as a piano tuner and technician. She has worked for Cavendish and Blüthner pianos. In 2021 she completed a PGCE and later trained in forest schooling. She is an accredited Forest School Leader and worked for the charity, Edible Rotherhithe. During this time she developed her skills in illustration and lino printing, as well as papermaking—using the waste paper from the schools!
In 2025 she completed a master’s degree at Goldsmiths University in Children’s Literature and Creative Writing. She writes middle grade and young adult fiction, and is currently making a middle grade book from scratch titled, ‘The Story of a Workermouse’. She is also working on writing a collection of fairy tales for young adult readers. Pip really loves combining the arts; creative writing, papermaking, calligraphy, lino printing, marbling, and bookbinding. She now runs workshops in creative writing and book arts.
